This image is perfection. Hypocrisy much?
Occupy won’t be ending any time soon. It’s time the police (and the entire government) realize that.

Police used batons to try to push the students apart. Those they could not separate, they pepper-sprayed directly in the face, holding these students as they did so. When students covered their eyes with their clothing, police forced open their mouths and pepper-sprayed down their throats. Several of these students were hospitalized. Others are seriously injured. One of them, forty-five minutes after being pepper-sprayed down his throat, was still coughing up blood.
Police officer Lt. John Pike pepper spraying completely peaceful college students directly in the face.
UCD Police Chief Annette Spicuzza, who observed the events on the UC Davis Quad, said that she was “very proud” of her officers.

“At the University of California at Davis today, police tore down down the tents of students inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement, and arrested those who stood in their way.
In the video above, you see a police officer walk down a line of those young people, seated quietly on the ground in an act of nonviolent civil disobedience, and spray them all with pepper spray at very close range.
Ten people in this scene were arrested, nine of whom were current UC Davis students. At least one woman is reported to have been taken away in an ambulance with chemical burns.”
Just a reminder, the police are supposed to protect us, not suppress us. They’re supposed to help victims, not victimize.
